Green Shield is a vegetated green roof system for low slope roofs.
Green Shield features a drainage layer, filter, root reinforcement, 3
to 6 inches of lightweight soil and plants that sit over StressPly EUV
modified bitumen waterproofing membrane. The entire system weighs
between 12 to 25 pounds per foot saturated. StressPly EUV contains 8%
recycled rubber powder and uses a 20% recycled coal slag coating. This
vegetated roof system cools the roof (reducing air conditioning costs
in hot weather) and reduces stormwater runoff (detains water in soil).
